Industrial accident sends worker to hospital

Many workers in Pennsylvania have a significant amount of experience and skill in their chosen profession. However, even those who have worked in the same job for years can become involved in an industrial accident due to situations that cannot be easily predicted. Unfortunately, a man in another state was recently hospitalized after he was injured at work.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on a day in late August. Reports indicate that the man was working to clean bolts on a machine at Rightway Fasteners, a company that manufactures parts used by the automotive industry. Unfortunately, the man is said to have become pinned in the machine while he worked.

His co-workers were able to extricate him from the machine before emergency responders arrived. Paramedics and firefighters who responded treated him for cardiac arrest before he was transported to the hospital. His condition following the accident was not immediately clear.

An industrial accident can happen to any worker, in many cases despite the safety precautions that are in place. As a result, Pennsylvania and all other states require that employers provide workers' compensation insurance coverage for their employees, which can help injured workers financially in the aftermath of an accident, including providing for medical expenses and lost wages. In the event that the victim cannot return to work in the same capacity, these benefits can also assist with the costs of retraining. Unfortunately, the process can be complicated. As a result, many people injured while on-the-job seek guidance from an experienced professional in the pursuit of fair compensation.
