Police were reportedly able to locate that suspect's car. After searching the general area of the abandoned vehicle, they were ultimately able to take the man into custody hours after the initial incident. The identity of the suspect and the charges he may face is unclear. The police officer is currently listed in critical condition after undergoing surgery.

Between lost wages and medical bills, worry about his financial stability make take a prominent role during time that should be focused on his emotional and physical recovery. Fortunately, he may be entitled to workers' compensation insurance benefits which can help him with the financial ramifications of his injuries and recovery.
