House Bill 432 Would Help Protect Pennsylvania First Responders Suffering From PTSD

A new bill proposed in February is attempting to amend the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act and would provide increased aid for first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If passed, supporters insist it will make an array of resources for first responders more available and - in turn - help save lives.

Pennsylvania Experiencing Highest Percentage Increase in Pedestrian Deaths From Motor Vehicle Incidents

In Pennsylvania, pedestrian deaths are at an all-time high. According to a report released by the Governors Highway Safety Association, the number of pedestrians killed by motor vehicles skyrocketed by 41 percent in the first six months of 2018 compared to the first six months of 2017. A jarring total of 90 pedestrians were killed in Pennsylvania traffic-related incidents during the span - 26 more than the 64 fatalities in 2017 - which was the eighth largest total and highest percentage increase (41%) within the United States.
