Man dies in industrial accident

Pennsylvania industrial workers are constantly aware than an accident can result in injury or death, and are cautious to do everything possible to avoid them. Unfortunately, there was an accident recently which resulted in a death in California. The 62-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after what has been ruled to have been an accident.

According to the sheriff's spokesman, the man lost his footing working on the stamping machine. He fell into the machine and died of his head injuries. The spokesman said that an inquiry would take place, headed by the state OSHA investigators. An investigation into a fatal industrial accident can take at least 60 days, which means that the family of the deceased will have to wait some time before they can have closure in the case.

Head injuries are often serious, and though many are fatal, those who survive are left with long-term medical treatments and issues to deal with. These can be expensive, and if unable to work, workers' compensation may not be enough to cover them. For families in this position, pursuing a negligence investigation and personal injury claim may be options.

Seeking the input of an experienced workers' compensation attorney can be of great benefit to families in this position. Workplace injuries can have serious health consequences for many years to come, especially from falls where head and neck injuries occur. The decision to pursue legal action is not an easy one, but can result in financial assistance to cover the medical expenses and lost wages of the injured party.
