In today's episode of Worker News Pittsburgh, we are on the site of Junior Achievement's Western PA's JA BizTown®. An in-progress community project, JA BizTown® is an experiential learning laboratory for elementary and middle school students.
It is a fully interactive mock town that simulates the day-to-day function of thriving communities so that students can connect classroom experiences with the reality of the business world. Students get hands-on experience with everything from applying to a job themselves to becoming a business owner who creates jobs.
JA BizTown® is one small piece of Junior Achievement’s work in western Pennsylvania. Originally founded in 1919, Junior Achievement has empowered more than 100 million students to take charge of their own economic success, graduating local notable alumni like Mark Cuban.
