You deserve a safe working environment

Many employers in Pennsylvania work hard to ensure that their employees are well looked after and that the conditions in which they work are safe and comfortable. Every job has its downsides and difficult days, but having an employer that cares can make a big difference. However, it is a sad fact that there are still many employers who do not make any effort to protect their employees and even allow them to work in unsafe or even toxic environments.

As an employee, you deserve to work in safety. If there are hazards that are an unavoidable part of your job, you should be provided with adequate training and safety equipment to deal with these issues. There should also be safety procedures in place to protect workers in the event of an emergency.

Of course, some hazards are not readily identifiable, and you may find out long after leaving a job that it has been harmful to your health. For example, if you were exposed to dusty environments or inhaled toxic fumes, you could have suffered respiratory damage. However, this might not manifest immediately. Even so, you could still make a claim once the cause of the problem has been identified.

If your working conditions have made you ill, or you feel that an existing illness has been made worse by your job, there is a good chance that you may be entitled to workers' compensation. Of course, making a claim when you are feeling unwell can seem like a lot to handle, but luckily it is not something you need to deal with on your own. Our page on employee rights may have some of the information you need to help you proceed with your claim. Meanwhile, an attorney might also be able to provide useful advice and assistance as you build your case and pursue the support and remuneration you deserve.
